Usual Shlock

Sunset Warrior, Eric V. Lustbader, Ballentine, 1977.

I guess this book doesn't completely suck. It's the standard Lustabder shlock. Like reading Tom Clancy, if you like this brand of shlock as an escape, then it is worth the read, if you don't, it isn't.

This is "American Ninja" with a sci-fi twist. There is the usual inscrutable, emotionally troubled, fantastically skilled main character. There is the usual power struggle. There is the usual corrupt system, and the usual nasty betrayal. It's the usual. Maybe the rest of the series is better?
