Mt. Shasta Pictures
These were all taken with my Nikon CoolPix950 Digital Camera, all with automatic settings. Postproduction was minimal - cropping, gamma correction in most cases, sharpening sometimes, and the occasional defect removal.

These images were taken a few weeks before the climb.

This is an interesting area near Mt. Shasta that I'd like to explore.

Abe, Jonah, Colby and Rachel putting their packs together.

These guys rested before we even made it to Horse Camp. Jeez.

A very cool place. All the water and solar toilet you can handle.

Colby and Rachel working on their 5lb of trail mix.

Don't hate me 'cuz of my good looks...

Abe and Jonah on our practice day.

I couldn't bear to size this down... scroll to the right if you can't see Jay. This guy definitely belongs on the mountain.

This turned out much better than I had thought... you can see the shadow of Shasta on the ridge as the sun is going down, and you can see the moon already rising to the South.

Spectacular sunset. Can't be beat.

The reason I rarely take pictures of myself. Now you know the awful truth.

I think this was in the morning... I just love the color of the light on the snow.

Jonah and Jay glissading down. Hey, they didn't even bring us back any summit pictures!
